NO MORE POLLUTION IN OUR WATERWAYS

Dear Reader,

Did you know that without water earth would be lifeless? So this means we need to make change in our actions. I think we are already polluting our waterways too much and that it is disturbing us, the environment, and our sea life.

Firstly we litter in our ocean to much. Sea life think our litter is food, they go to eat it and then their life is taken by suffocating or choking on your piece of rubbish that you put our ocean. I strongly believe you would not like that to happen to the beautiful and harmless sea animals.did you know In 2012 the world produced so much rubbish in our oceans creating 288 million metric tons of rubbish. So please, please don’t throw rubbish in our oceans, and if you see rubbish on the ground anywhere then can you please pick it up because it is super bad for the environment.

Secondly we have too many oil spills around the world. Do you know how bad this is for our oceans? Well oil is a harmful liquid that will kill most sea creatures that are living or feeding in the area. Not to mention all of our native blue penguins that get killed every year due to the oil spills that happen around the place. If there has been an oil spill by your house can you please help the doc workers or the army people clean up! if you are driving a ship with oil on it can you drive extra carefully!

Thirdly, Do you like to go fishing? Do you know the legal size limit for fish? Well the legal size limit for most fish is 27cm-40cm. So next time you go fishing make sure you have the special fish measurer to measure your fish so you don’t take fish under the size limit. I also strongly believe that humans these days are over fishing and taking more fish from the ocean than they need to! So when your fishing remember your special measures and make sure you don’t take too many fish!

So if these examples keep happening our world will not be a good place to live in we need to make a difference.
